I thought I had seen my share of amazing infinity-edge pools at Marina Bay Sands Singapore & the Hanging Gardens Ubud Hotel in Bali, but I was wrong! This concept villa, Mirage House, takes the cake. The home's entire roof is a pool! Image this place all to yourself, the tranquility, the parties, the views. Its incredible!

The three bedroom, 2,131 square ft. home features one of the most daring rooftops around. The interior spaces are carved out of the plateaued landscape, creating thermally-constant cavernous spaces. Additionally the pool acts as a thermal barrier, capturing and deflecting heat from entering the interiors. The bedrooms and living spaces all open toward views of the Aegean Sea.

Designed by Kois Associated Architects, the home was conceived as an 'invisible oasis.' Project leader Nikos Patsiaouras explains "We asked ourselves how can you make a building disappear? Our response was to mimic elements of the landscape. The visual effect of the mirroring of the pool in combination with the concept of invisibility brought to mind the visual phenomenon of the mirage, from which the project was named."

What a poetic concept that translates into a fine piece of architecture!
